Sunday 29th of June: Family Day
---------------------------------------------------------------
Some Sunday morning, K&K (Keith and Karen) used to go to Hayling Island. And they walk in front the sea and the beach of course.
Today, the weather looks not bad but not good. However, they have planned to leave so they ask me if I want also...of course I accept.
I'm surprised they have changed of shoes. So, I ask if they walk for a marathon but not it's just the Sunday's walking near 1 mile. I tell them that it isn't useful to go so far...they can walk in Cosham. They answer me that it isn't the same (landscape, oxygen, beach, sea...)
During the travel, they explain me that Keith's parents had lived in Hayling Island for 40 years. Even he had also lived for 7 years. Before to leave, he had shown me plan of this house. It' was big and now there is new owners and the last owner had built other building.
On the return, he has stopped in front it. The foreground is a white wall and the rest is red bricks. Unfortunately, in the garden pine trees have burnt...must be an accident. It isn't very beautiful.
We arrive to Hayling Island, Keith stops the car in a car's shop parking. It's a nice and very quiet village. It's why they love coming here. They think that it's perfect.....no noisy, no traffic, sea and beach very close. It's true that Cosham looks now more like a suburb, little town but it's peaceful. Contrary to Cosham, Hayling Island is a died town.
We have walked for one hour. I have taken my jacket because I'm not sure about the weather. I have a good instinct because in the end, it starts to rain just a few. I tell to K&K I want to offer them a drink due to I have got the job of barman. And also after the efforts, there are the comforts!
There agree of course. We have stopped to 2 pubs during the return but they are so busy...yeah, it's Sunday. So we decide to come back at home because we are hungry and I will pay my drinks tonight in Cosham. Great, it's cheaper...;)
Soon we arrive at home, Karen cooks us the traditional big breakfast...great idea! The time has flied very fast so we have walked until in the center of Cosham. Keith asks for a pint oF ... whereas Karen asks for an orange juice (near £6 for all).
When we finish drinks, Keith wants to ask for others, but I say him that I prefer going to other pub and drink other beer tomorow. Oh My God! Not Monday, it's THE evening of CORONATION STREET...:)
They like my idea and we come back at home to eat little pizza with an English salad.
